Aghhh, Ok. if anyones got one that they don't intend to fit let me know?

Yeah Jay, I'm surprised you made so many!! they are indeed a royal pain on the rear end to make, when I started doing these I thought I could make loads in one go, but after about 10 of them it started to become a chore!!

As for Scotchlocking them into the car loom, then that is one sure fire way to induce all sorts of problems.

As for making them again, well I may do BUT PLEASE dont hold your breath as you'll probably die before I get one out again.....!

They are just so fiddly to make, the components are one thing it's drilling the blanks and mounting the LEDs that bored me. I may do an idiots guide to making them but SO busy at the moment it's unreal.

big_wasa 22-06-11 05:36 PM

Yeah a guide or even just the wiring diagram would be great. No problem sourcing the bits and making it.

TIGGER 24-06-11 04:44 AM

Yeah if you could just list the components that would be great then I can get one of the sparkies at work to make it for me;) plenty of guides how to fit them so that should be no problem;)

I could make a few of these indicator kits if there's anyone interested.

The part's list is quite short:
- 4x 12v LEDs & mounting brackets (better off going with low power types, as you can't draw a lot current from the VIS circuit without causing problems)
- 4x 1N4007 diodes
- 1x 2k1 resistor
- some stripboard to mount the components on
- about 3-3.5 metres of 5 core cable to run into the engine bay
