rolling road result.

a little dissapointed tbh. car made 183.3 bhp atf and 152bhp atw with the mods in my sig. although before i left the bloke told me there could be another 6-7 bhp in there that didnt show up but would on another rolling road???

thanks to peterzs for showing his support and meating me down there.

I'm beginning to doubt these rolling road figures. I reckon they give you an idea, but aren't that accurate. I suppose you could go to one with a mate to settle the arguements about who's got the most, but the fugures they come out with are a bit unreliable.

i have herd before that they are somewhat unrelliable. the chap yesterday told me and peterzs that the civic type r only makes 180 bhp on his rolling road?

not worried about figures tbh as i only wanted to put on it there just to make sure the engine is running ok before its remap

i agree with what you say dan about been unaccurate

looking at others...

one on here made 200bhp with 171 ft-lbs

mine made 183bhp with 190 ft-lbs

i would have thought higher bhp would make higher torque???

Is your VIS balance valve working?

Would broken VIS's affect top end bhp?

The graph showed there was something not right as there is a dip after the power valve that never recovered. Some rolling roads do suffer inaccuracies but alot depends on the quality of them and how well they are maintained and managed. Catch up tomorrow fellas.

It was the torque curve that I was looking at. The dip without recovery from around 4,500 rpm that was the giveaway. The torque curve for the KV6 engine should be fairly flat between 3,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm.
