I think that they will go fine on a mk2, as that's what the guy I bought them off had.

How wide tyres can a ZS take before it sticks out of the arches or scrubs?

Are we talking OE rims or aftermarket ones? Alot depends on the ET, some will rub if lowered or cornering hard.

I believe Murrays ZS did have the black BTCC alloys fitted which were 18" x 8J......

No problems there to my knowledge!
