Was Trawling google & found someone on the xpower forum with exactly the same problem with the blower as me with it being stuck on.
the problem was with the blower re-stricter thingy behind the climate control. he got a 2nd hand one from roverbrakers so Ive emailed them as-well. will be nice to sort that one.

How easy is it to get the front of the dash off where the climate control unit is?

problems left to sort.

Clutch pedal being way 2 high & horn which don't work.
not so put out with it today, took the car for a blast earlier & it put a huge grin on my face ill i saw my fuel gage :mml: lol

not sure about the climate control version but the standard mark2(different from mk1) to get access to the blowers ye have to take the centre consol out , theres 2 bolts under the blank at the handbrake, and 2 screws at the back tothe sides n it just lifts off, then you have to pop the top switches out to get thescrews which you might want a bit of bluetack or a magnetic screw driver so you dont drop the screws, and theres one under the radio if you take it out and cant remeber at the bottom but think theyres somthing behind the ashtray if i remember right, n two at the sides in the footwells n if you pull the gear gaitor surround off it makes it a bit easier

You will most likely need a new horn. It is a common problem with the mk2. I have to replace my horn after 1 year, the relay would click but no sound.

Yeah mine just clicks. might change it for a nice meaty Jaguar horn we have in the shed :D

centre console is a bit of a pain to get out.. esp if you leave the radio removal tool 30 miles away at your parents and then get part way through the job before realising you can get the blooming thing out...

funny thing was that my fiddling fixed my top vents not opening fully so saved me a bit of work in the end :mml:

Dan,

If you come over to the "mainland" at any time pop over and say hello, I have a spare ZS horn (that works) and all the stuff to fix your clutch pedal ;) - Might be tempted to have a look if you want? :tease: - Only live in waterlooville as well!
