Yep his is the hatch, though it does have the saloons extreme spoiler modded to fit it. Was done by it's previous owner and does look pretty good an that wee bit different:)

In all honesty it's down to personal opinion, i prefer the looks of the saloon others prefer the hatch. The saloon has a humungous boot but as it isn't a hatch the opening can be resrtictive and if you put the seats doon the opening through to the back seats is quite narrow. But the saloon shell is stiffer because of this, not that you will notice the differencein day to day life:)

Basically and imo - Sallon looks better and Hatch has more flexibility:)

i like the saloon better, youd get a mark2 for under 3 grand easil if you keep an eye out, dont rush into getting one if there isnt any your that keen on or are over priced as the right one will come up

Correct, though as noted mine has the extreme spoiler from a saloon fitted which makes it look a bit different to normal hatches.

Personally I just loved the extreme spoiler so was going to definately get a saloon, but then my hatch came up with it fitted already so went for that instead!

I can see that the hatch is more practical but I am going to get a saloon next as already had this hatch and want my next car to look a bit different.

Yeah, definately will be selling mine soon.

Hatch normally only has a small spoiler.

Have owned both, the saloon has a bigger deeper boot but the hatch is more accessible for bulky items. The hatch rear seats can all fold down flat so the boot space increase into the cabin. The saloon rear bench can not fold up to accommodate the rear seats to fold down completely flat. You have a full seatbelt for the rear middle seat in the saloon but only a lap belt on the hatch.
