aye ZS phil has just bought that car!!! Its a cracker actually to be fair, i had the joy of joys of running him from blackpool to south birmingham! The guy who was selling it bought it off a rover employee just after the business went bust and he needed money, so he only paid 7 grand for it 5 years ago... now hes gettin a new car on monday so needed the car shifting!
The car was in cracking condition, the guy had all the paper work from brand new and had recipets for work done on it! So Phils practicaly stolen the car haha!! :)

Dam right I was in the right place at the right time, I called the guy literally an hour after the advert went up, he seemed genuine on the phone and explained that the date stamp was wrong because his camera re-set itself after a trip to China. The pics are a week old. HPI checked the car and was all clear so went for a closer look. Inlet manifold already been done and body work is very good as is the interiour, only thing ive found so far is the windscreen washer doesnt work. So yeah Im a happy chappy, hopefully I wont find any nasty surprises but it seems like a very straight honest car.

to be honest guys the seller knew what the car was truly worth but he was adament that the fact that the belts are due (just) knocked a huge chunk of the value off. He got a phone call when he came back from holiday saying that his new car would be delivered on monday so he needed it shifting. With the belts done its got to be worth between £2800 and £3200, they are selling for more than that on pistonheads and autotrader so its no too bleak.
