Select http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/framework/skins/dvla/images/enVehicleEnquiryRoll.gif, you will be directed to this page (http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry) , click http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/portlets/customersat/images/NextLilOv.gif stick in your reg number and the make of your car, and it will give you details of your CO2 emissions, prices for 6 and 12 month VED and what colour the DVLA has your car registered as.

hahaha bargain............. my tax renewal letter came through the post the other day.... it says for 6 months they want £118.... where as on the DVLA website they want £135 think i kno where im goin for my new tax disc

Thanks Kev!!! just gone to do this to my van and the tax on that hs gone up to £200!! Gutted lol, makes you laugh for something with "CO2 Emissions 0g/Km"

you will still get charged the price that is on the website, luckily i taxed mine for a year just before the increase and it only cost me £215 for the car lol

The GF received her renewal letter yesterday stating £35 for 12 months but when she came to renew it online, it is £20 as stated on the direct gov website.

The post office and online both charge the rate that applies on the day you renew.

i just got my renewal form through the post, 135 quid for 6 months!!!! ouchhhhhh! thats on my 180 by the way

My Defender doesn't have a Co2 reading for some reason... still £205 for a year. Ouch!

257g/Km is going to cost £435 a year for the Impreza... very very ouch!

if you can afford to own it you can afford to tax it.... plus the money you earn Ross £435 to you is chump change

Although they have it still as the ZR which hasn't had the plate on it for at least a year. :slap:

Got a flight back in the end, only 3 days late so not too bad
