My insurance is due shortly and my renewal price is over 25% more than last year! Phoned to dicuss it to be told its their best price unless i can find it cheaper elsewhere then they maybe able to lower it!

My problem is the quotes I'm getting are higher and i refuse to pay £480 to insure it!

Who do you guys use for good prices!

Cheers Brett

I'm with Sky Insurance and last year was £370 as I pay by instalments! Adrian flux was over £500 and have had other quotes as high as £980!

I'm 33 with 9 years NCD and have just move to a far better postcode than I was at renewal last time!

As said above.. Give Adrian Flux, Sky and Chris Knott a go (in that order), guarantee you'll get it lower!

I'm paying £440 for my modified mk2, I was 22 with 5 years no claims... Also put your other half or mum on your policy, it will lower it! ;)

Then people moan that so many people are on the roads with no insurance!!

It drives me crazy must have spent 4-5 hours on the phone getting quotes for the 180, you get passed from broker to broker repeating your details very time your transfered. Then quotes vary by hundreds of pounds. I dont know of any other industry where different quotes will vary by such a high percentage!! Shouldnt be such hard work!

I'm sticking with Admiral as I get discount for multi-car. The zed recently went back on, however this was high as it is only on with 2 years ncb but came out at £550 fully comp. All my ncb is on the Discovery and that is maximum. The other car on the policy is the MGF SE which is £360 iirc.

Insurance is a pita but make sure you get legal cover as this helps get things sorted for you.
