Ive lost my locking wheel nut.
Luckily I have the code but cant seem to contact Krooklok.
My MOT is next week and I need to get the lights off as they have gone faulty again, otherwise it will fail the MOT.
Unless theres a way to get the headlamp out without removing the bumper?

you can get the bumper off without taking the wheels off, just put it on full lock then jack the front up as normal

I thought the locking wheel bolts were made my McGuard. Mine is, and you can email them the design and they will make one, Cost about ?30 but they do take about 2 weeks to turn up.

Thanks folks! Managed to get it off at my mates house using some decent tools for once! Got everything sorted now and hopefully ready for the MOT.
:smartass:

How can I tell if its krooklok or mcguard?
Ive got a krooklok card that I got with the car and assumed thats whats on the car?

Isnt MCGuard and aftermarket locking wheel nut?

standard MG locking wheel nuts are pritty basic

McGard nuts were standard fit on later cars.

Surely every locker is different otherwise whats the point??!

Do you know how I can tell the make of the locking wheel nuts? They have a black, rubberish coating around them which makes me think they aren't Krooklok ones.....

all the actual key fitments are different between manufacturers, but the actual nut on ford and honda should be the same thread, mazda thread is the same as ford and its mazda nuts on my car, but they are 21mm so youd need another wheelkey, we have masterseats for ford mazda and mg rover at work

im sure if u go into an x mg dealer and give em ur vin number they can get u a new key. Saying that if its got black rubber on it its not the standard 1

an ex mg dealer should still have the masterset, if you asked a mechanic at the door theyd probably remove it for a fiver out in the carpark if you asked nicely
