Bored and curious. I have the fob from my old MK2 with boot popper.

2 questions. How much would it cost to reprogram it for a MK1 if this is possible and is it feasable to install the boot popper to a mk1?

not possible.

the mk2 zs uses a scu, which accepts the barcode you should have with the mk2 fobs (was a sticker usually kept in the glove box/service book)

the mk1 uses 5as which is a different system.

i have seen people modify the mk2 remote for the mk1 internals

Yer was going to say sure you could get the mk1 internals inside the mk2 fob may be tricky though!!

You may also be able to get an aftermarket boot popper and some how intergrate that into the fob although that would be very tricky id have thought
