conversion wiring

Hi new to this forum :)
I've dropped an engine from an 820 turbo into my car and followed diagram and autodata for the wiring but had a bloke over today with his t4 to reprogram the 5as box and nothing!
The car wouldn't talk to it and even using the diagnotic port next to ecu had no power!

Any ideas what's next before a gallon of petrol and a box of matches?

System used on the zs isnt the same as the one in the rover 800.

You will need to have the 820 turbo ecu flashed so its immobilisor is deactivated.

Theres a few companies that advertise this service on the net. costs around 150quid.

His quote wasn't far off that price so might be worth getting him up
