What was the problem that it had when you thought it was dead, and the AA or warrenty company had said it was knackered?

Also i think you might be looking for a bit too much on the value side, quite a few low milageMK2's on autotrader at less from a dealer atm...

Anyhoo good luck with the sale, i could not drop down to a smaller car myself!

i think that is quite high, also paint the grills back to black as well and people may be more interested, also id advise you that going from a zs to a zr may not be the best move, the zs's drive a lot nicer than the zr's, and feel a lot more solidly built

the zs is such a big car and i dont need a big car i have had a rover 214si and loved it plus a zr 160 is going to be a fun drive if you know what i mean :nuke:

I used to own a ZR160 myself mine was a 2001 model, it used to rattle & creek like an old shed plus was rock hard on the suspension! ;)

The ZS is deffo the better car from a drivers point of view, even though the suspension is firm on the ZS its more comfortable & better to drive than the ZR! :D

I`m not saying the ZR160 is a bad car though, the VVC engine in them are fantastic they go like stink! :D

Compaired to the ZS though they are rather unrefined, if you get a 160 just make sure the timing belts have been changed as theres two on them because of the VVC! ;)

Mind it is not just mileage but age that affects timings belts so it may well still be due to be changed!!!

3 years old lol

late registered then but as MG-Rover went tits up in April 2005, the car itself is prbably nearer 5 years old. There is a way to find out the actual build date but canna remember how at the mo lol. So iirc you are due a belt change at 6 years old, so next year timing belt time:)

Just a thought, it might be worth waiting to find one with all the above mod's already done, would work out cheaper for you.

I bought my car last December, so I suppose it could have been the time of year, but................

54 plate 120+, mk 2, full 180 kit, MG/Rover FSH, 4 brand new tyres, 1 Years MOT, 5 Months TAX, brand new back box, 45,000 on the clock, MG mats etc.

Paid ?2200, which was the book price at the time

Please don't think I'm having a dig mate. Just hope this helps.

low mileage isnt always a good thing unfortunatly, make sure the radiators okay from sitting about, plus its always probably had short drives where the engine hasnt heated up right so might not have worn well inside
