Hi Steph, I've got a derv and have a MAFAM that I bought from Rover Ron, just tried searching for the info and found this:-

http://tuning-diesels.com/index2n.htm

It would appear that he has stopped selling them, there was one on ebay thats now been sold. Think the best bet would be to keep a look out on ebay, or do one of those reminder things for a MAFAM box.

Or buy the new one to replace your old one.

All a bit odd, hope it makes sense.

dont bother with a MAFAM, just get a pierburg MAF - have a dig around and i believe that euro car parts have got some in for a few pounds less than the OE bosche unit.

Alternatively apaprently the part fitted to some vauxhall diesels would fit, needs to be re-fitted to the rover housing though. If you are on .org (where rover ron resides) there is more info :)

PS.

I didn't see a single other ZS while i was in france a few years ago, must enjoy having a nice rare car over there :)

Some people told me that the pierburg MAF don't bring more bhp that the standard Bosch.
I am a bit lost...
I am looking for more power for reasonable price
any idea ?

PS
Zs are rare in France mainly the mk2.
I keep mine and try to enjoy.
I only saw 1 similar as mine since I have my Zs.

A french guy who love sport British car.
See you

Buy a Decat for the exhaust, then from the decat back have a stainless steel exhaust.

Get a BMC panel filter.

Boost the turbo pressure up a bit.

Get a remap after you do all the mods.

You can put in SDi injectors instead of the standard ones.

Cost:- Decat pipe off ebay about ?25, s/s Powerflow exhaust ?250, remap about ?200. SDi off ebay ?10 to ?100 but I've not bought any.

Dont think just chaning the MAF will increase bhp, but will make it run properly, get the right miles per gall. or kilometers per litre. And will rev better.

Think you might have to have a trip over here to get sorted.

My one is 134 bhp, 150 bhp can be found with the SDi injectors, best of luck and hope you can find a garage in France who can tune your one.

Not an expert but get a dedicated decat pipe for a derv ZS, think the derv is a different size from a 180 V6.

They do come up on ebay so wait untill you see one. Think we reused a metal type gasket, so dont throw away your old one when you take it off, and take it off carefully.

Best of luck with the SDi's.

any decat for the L-series will fit it - so a diesel ZR 400 or 600.

avoid bhpboosters as they make them too small.
