I am officially back in the fold of ZS180 ownership:D Picked up a Goodwood green 180 earlier today. Needs a wee bit tlc but is a sound motor and I love the colour!! Also loving the Alcantara seats:D VIS both gubbed an now in hospital at Kevs to see if salvageable, exhaust blowing but doesnt bother me a jot as it was not staying for very long tbh. A muchos grasssy arse to Kev who was invaluable today with help and motion power to get there including the great money withdrawel challenge lol. So couple of manky pics, getting stuck in tomorrow with the cleaning, though already have coilpack cover and LED sidelights fitted:D

Have to say the green really comes out in the light, looks totally different to the pics tbh:) Planning a full exhaust system including decat first along wi touch up to scrape on rear bumper as well as gettting my old extreme spoiler painted and fitted. Planning to leave the centre part pearl black and just get the supports done in green, wi black front bib should tie in nicley imo:)

Any way of contacting the insurance comp or the garage it went to for review? see if they knew?

Im planning on going down to kilmarnock/ayr scrappies soon with a guy from the 75/ZT Website, so will keep an eye out :)

Also think some headlamp powerwash things on the bumper would look good on it!.

Glad to hear the good news Gary, Not too sure about the colour but Maybe Im just comparing against what you had before, Im sure with the way brought out the best of the black stealth you will apply to this with some nice tastefull mods.
Look forward to watching how you bring out the best in it.
And a visit to Dr Kev is a good place to start.

Cheers a'body, nice blank canvas to get working on:D

Andy an Marcus, thought you pair might no like the colour lol Still say that it looks a totally different green in the flesh, certainly a few more shades lighter....more than likely my ***** photography that makes it looks darker and well flatter tbh:)

It wont be an overnight thing but first few bit's i want done
Fecking good clean insides an oot
Exhaust
VIS working
Bumper painted and spats touched up
air filter
proper job spoiler on
my stereo in and sell cd HU with multi changer
HIDS
Wind deflectors
Tints windows

One thing I am not sure about this time, obviously I had rally flaps on the black one but I think i could only get away with that due to them blending in with the colour of the car....not so sure if large black mud flaps would blend in so well on this car and really want to keep the spats protected from stones aff the front wheel - suggestions please:)

Just no sure Dan, not seen any green the now but think they would be too 'bright' and stand out too much. Thhe black ones may fit in as I plan to add black and darker colours here and there.

First ebay purchase done, wanted a catch tnak but in black and square. Could only find this one on ebay so it is now mine:D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350422212916&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Well the VIS motors are well and truly gubbed, no even salvageable, luckily I had a spare Power motor and a very lazy Balance motor so they will go on the car just now to make it drivable at the moment.

i dont know where you can buy it gary but you can get thick clear self adhesive vinyl, cut it to size and stick it on the inside, if you see any new shape fiestas about look at the lower corner at the rear door theyre fitted there to stop stone chips, wasnt too bad to put it on when we had the recall, would stop stone chips no problem.

some grey would definatly look good against the green, grey wheels ect, dont think mudflaps would suit this one but its going to look great when its done, few colours missing to have the full colour selection at the stand, need to import some zs's from the south.

Well got stuck in about cleaning the exterior today, also engine bay was thoroughly gutted as it was minging tbh. Came up like new in there, was just a quick wash down on the body as it was so flaming cold the day. Also got engine flush and fresh oil along with pollen filter change.. Once again a huge thanks to Kev who came across with mini service goodies and working vis motors he had. Vis motors in and she is flying:D Sounds mean as **** with the blown exhaust lol, engine is nice and quiet and cannot wait to get a proper zorst on then an air filter when i find one at a guid price:) Kev took some photos today showing the bits requiring some tlc and show her washed down:)

Think they will work bud and tbh the amount of protection the give over not having any makes it worth having them:) So flaps will be added lol.

Twas stuf Kev brought over, G101 I think it was called?!?! Worked a treat, sprayed it on and hosed down while car was running keeping too much water away from electrical bits and pieces. The oil filler cap was brown and black when i picked car up lol

LOL, tbh i very much doubt it, didn't know much about mechanics of car. He had been running with no VIS motors and so much slack in the throttle cable I am surprised it moved lol. Nothing on throttle till you pressed at least half of it's travel:)

Cool, apparently it's a durham registered car, wonder who has your brothers noo?:)
If you find em, fire up them piccies:D Have to say paintwork isn't as bad as i thought it might be apart from the stonechipped bodykit. It had that diamondbrite protection stuff put on it when new. Washed up nicely that's for sure but mair than likely get yourself to give it the proper job treatment if yer up again. George is gonna be getting a good workout on that interior though lol, is pretty clarty tbh and will need to 'shave' seats due to the bobbling from folk sliding into them:)

A wee update, got the bodywork sorted out an full system including de-cat. Exhaust is a bit quieter than the black one's was, but sounds nice and deep and a lot smoother:)
Most of the time since I have bought the car has been spent on the interior, the amount of ***** that came out during the shampooin was scaryily disgusting, but there has been a vast improvement and all the seats need now is a de-bobble:)
Also popped in my new 5K HID's yesterday then today fitted the sheddist kit and TM clock(thanks Lawrence, hope to get start button in soon). The thing i was desperate to do was the sheddist kit as my oe kit was struggling a touch and since i had one in the black zed i hated going back to the oe system. Once again the kit has transformed another zs, cannot recommend this upgrade more to anyone with a 180, should be one of the very first mods done:)

Na, prob sell it as a working spare on the bay or here, was only a slight rattle and car didn't seem down on power when VIS were working so really it too good to scrap tbh when other out there are gubbed and need summat that at least works ok:)

Glad you got the clips, no toyota moments for you now lol:D

iirc its the base of the legs?!?! There is one on here that has it fitted and think the orginal mod was done by a previous owner either on zscentral or xpf...not sure if there is a how to but positive there was a description of what had to be done to get it to fit:)

Today i headed throught to Dreadnought in Callander to pick up my new stoppers from Luti, he was out but his Dad got me the discs and kindly showed me round the workshop, very impressive is all i can say. Didn't take any pics as well, I was getting a quick show about and felt whpping out the camera might have been a bit rude:)

Anyways got home and decided to fit them, paint the calipers and add my decals, and have fitted the front flaps, will do rears and arch liner the morrow as it is too wet and i need a beer:D

Took it out for a spin tonight, fecking love it. Goes brilliantly and am very surprised at the amount of induction roar i can hear, certainly a lot more pronounced that the black one ever was. Getting used to the brakes, seem to need a fair bit of heat before they have decent bite but do not know what they are but they certainly do stop me. Will probably still give a quick bleed to be sure.

Few more wee jobbies done:) Got bumper sag/bulge fix done today which has the added benefit of stopping any water getting in the bracket locating points, sealed up the other usual suspects for letting in water too:) Bumper sitting a lot better now but broke that crappy bracket that sits in the o/s arch lol. Dropped the alloys off at Chameleon for refurbing, plumped for silver with the sparkle through it as the chops caled did settled it for me although Grimmy's idea of black with gold sparkle was severly temtping tbh, pick them up next Monday:D
Also upgraded my fogs as the yellow light looked poor with leds and hids fitted elswhere, comparison shot below, notice differnce better in the flesh though. An new black and chrome badge on too:)

The alloy rings for the speedo arrived today to but I didn't want the same carbon trim i had before and the aluminium one just imo would look ****. Seeing as i still had amethyst paint left from interior job on dead zed thought i would paint the instrument surround this time instead, very pleased with the result and still love amethyst, think it will be covering a few more bits and pieces in the future:D

Excellent stuff Lawrence, would be getting refurbed anyways to match the other 3 wheels. Looks good that does though:D

Well today was the day to remove the multi changer from the boot and connecting wire that ran through to the HU slot. Bit of a pita tbh as the two parts of the bracket were riveted together but a few drill bits later out it came, easy enough to just use bolts to refit which it should have had in the first place imo lol:
While in the boot whipped out all the carpets and dried it out and went leak hunting, notcied that the vent was still opening so i hadn't done a good job of that and as i couldn't be bothered taking the bumper off again one of the old number plates and some sikaflex cam in handy:D

Good question Andy and tbh I am not sure, didn't measure the drop before and after though the are supposed to give about a 35mm drop. Is just enough for me and I don't feel it is a great deal harsher a ride if at all:)
