I.e. The plastuc trims that the metal trims screw onto? Doubt theyre worth ?4 let alone 40

Sorry but Plastic ones are worthless IMO .
the only ones to get are the metal ones which can be had for a couple of quid a set of 4 Powder coat them then decal .

i was going to put a post of like some of the above but thought better of it.
i got 30 quid for a set of stainless ones about 2 years ago.

As SheppyDuo said, "open to offers", I'd be the same, if you dont know what anything is worth, start high and come down.
The real value will be what anyone is willing to pay, sounds like a deal has been done.

Mines a MK1 on an 03 Plate... first of the cars to have plastic trims :) so not just MK2 that miss out on the metal trims :)

Fronts - EAP000130MMM - Plain stainless steel, no MG or Rover etching.
Rears - EAP100570MMM - as above
Fixing screws - EYP10012
I was a little apprehensive about buying on-line and really wanted to call them just to make sure they were the correct ones. After speaking to a nice gentlemen and being assured these were the elusive ones, I parted with ?29. They look the business!

Very good info. Might invest in a set for the front. No-one goes in the back anyway. Are the holes for the screws already in the car?? Can't remember seeing them.

Aye the holes are there under the plastic trim you currently have, lift them up and you will see them. Part of the kit will include the plastic bit you push into the holes for the screws to bite into:)

Yep, what maxfly said. I didn't buy the screws and clips from rimmers. Got some from a couple of rover 45's in a scrap yard. Definitely buy them, as anyone else who has them will tell you, the photos really don't do them justice!:D

I fitted these to both the ZS, a well worthwhile upgrade.
You will need to drill the holes in your plastic covers, and fit the plastic inserts in the top of the sill for the screws to go into.
