since the wiring was all hand built I doubt I'll need them.

I'm still debating on doing a mk2 front. Might just keep the lights for when I hit something and do it then

Thats true hardly a standard loom I guess! Dont say when I hit something, at least say 'if' I hit something!!

It's a race car, I expect to hit something at some point. It's had a front end collision at Knockhill once already (ok so it was with a picnic table) and I've not even started it yet!

Only problem with this plan is that I sold my mk2 grille to Alan, so I'll need to try and find one of those now

No grill wasnt mine, as I sold the car with it on. Sure some Alridite or plastic weld would sort it out though :)

Plastic pipe solvent gel works well, melts the plastic a bit but doesn't run everywhere like normal glue - used it on my grill after I hit a deer and on my fridge door pocket.

Was that after trying to get the deer into the fridge?! :icecream:

You dont need the mk2 connectors.

Grab this in the mk2 light and pull it out.

Mask this off

Chop it with a blade

Ohh look, the MK1 plug now fits the MK2

Have people REALLY been stuck at this "impossible to find them" hurdle?

IIRC on my car i had to swap 2 wires around just after the plug, might have been an earth.....
