Nice motor dan I would keep the mud flaps I quite like them and they will do a job as my rear spats are stone chipped to hell so they might protect the bodywork

Nice flaps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same as on mine, obviously not as good a colour.

Nice looking motor mate, cant wait to see it in the flesh. May have to drive round High Wych, so the village can see TWO Zeds. :yikes:

perhaps slightly smaller black flaps might be more subtle... but as everyone else has said the mk2 really needs them. The rear body kit takes a pounding from crap thrown up by the front wheels

looks cracking, id lose the flaps if it whee mine, when i get mine resprayed im going to get a clear vinyl put on around the arches round the wheel edge and on the rear door bit of kit, think tht would stop the chips!

:hmm:

Not sure to be honest. I'm just not that keen on the whole rally look thing - you know - big fog lights etc on the front and I think those are the cars that need mudflaps.

If I do keep them - and I mean if - I'll probably turn them black. Reason being - my wheels need a refurb if I keep them and they'll be black.

Definately worth keeping flaps of some description. Have a look at MGZS-STE's, they are neat wee things and would do the job nearly as well:)

Removed the MAF sensor tonight to fit a Pierberg unit. Was going well until I tried to fit the new one. Wrong end ! Gutted as I'd checked the forums all over the place to get the right part number and as it's an electrical item, non refundable.

Anyhooo ..... There's a sonsor on a wire on the old MAF and I thought - fairly sure it shouldn't look like that. Took a toothbrush to it and gently removed some really baked on grime and crud. Back to silver and replaced it.

Car seems better now. :beer2:

Just need to get the engine management light to turn off. Was thinking about disconnecting the battery for 30 mins or so. That should reboot the ecu too.

Will that clear the light do you reckon ?

I'd try just keep driving it for a few days, when we played with the EMG??? and then put it back, the light came on and after a bit went off.

Glad its feeling a bit more resposive, dont know how it was driven before but they do learn driving styles (I think)

if you touched the wire you may well have broken the unit, they are really sensitive to contamination\contact i heard.....

If it still revs up beyond 4K easily then you got away with it :)

i must assume yours is a MK2 to put the eML on, so 50 turns of the key should see it go away or get a cheap OBDII scanner to clear your codes as they work on post 04 cars :)
