Took my ZS to Brands Hatch on sunday, got drive along the start finish straight, to get to my marshalling post.

So not quite a track day, but he has been on the hallowed tarmac!

Got a taste for it now????

Novice days are fun, used to be ?25 + ?10 helmet hire for an hour on track.

Looked the other day and its now a day or half day, which pushes up the price.

I love Brands, a right handful at times when busy and it keeps you on your toes!

That's cheap! I thought it was ?25 for 20 minutes. I'd of made more of an effort to get there!

You had to follow a lead car round for the first few laps to learn the bends etc. then you were let loose!!

Found that for me it was just about the right time, long enough to get a real feel of the track, but not long enough to over stress the car, or the driver!!!

As you say great value, real taster session.

They came with it. Been marshalling since 1989, and it never gets any warmer lol. Got a great view from the hill though, and over 80 cars. :yikes:

I did a trackday at Brands on 24th January. It was raining at the start of the day and the track was wet to mildly moist. The track has been re-surfaced from Paddock Hill to half way along Cooper. Due to these factors, I was unable to put down anywhere near all the power that my car has... I did a couple of fishtails in the attempt, but kept the car on the black stuff.

And I thought it was only a static display car!!

Brave to take it out amongst all the other cars, always seem to get one thats trying to be a Vettle.

You going to the Pride of Longbridge, in it this year???

Im jealous. I havent been to brands for a couple of years now.

Nice pics,
I like those rear lights against the yellow btw. Really suits it.

The Brands Indy circuit is my favourite track. I first did a trackday there in 2004 and got so deceived by Paddock Hill Bend that I had my 300zx completely sideways all the way through the bend and so glad I didnt spin! (for anyone that has never driven there it is VERY steep and has bumps at the braking points before it although it doesnt look it on tv).

Only done it in RWD and 4WD though so thats on this years agenda! :)

They used to. Stopped now, as it takes up too much time in the week to pit track back to normal, and the loss of corporate track days!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame cos that was good marshalling/racing.
