Wasnt sure weather to post this up, its not really my car its Ross's, but I'm so pleased to own it, and finally own a ZS. What a great car he's put together. I'm not sure where to go with it, i was going to put an interior in it, but not so sure now. I do intend to put my own touch on it, not sure yet....

So here it is sure you all know what it looks like......

I was looking for a mk2 saloon, and as you say there is very little i can do other than coilovers. I brought it for its spec.

So the project starts......

I wasn't sure weather to keep it stripped out, because I have to drive it to work every other week, plus have to carry more than 2 people now and again. As well as planning to do some track days though the summer. I was going to drop in a full interior, but driving it around over the weekend I loved the buckets seats.

Popped down the scrap yard this afternoon, and think I've come up with a halfway house, which I'm very pleased with. I've used a Civic hatchback's rear bench, and boot carpets, and parcel shelf. I thought the seat weren't to far off the buckets in colour, and the trims in jet black.

So trackday car for the most part:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y298/Taphouse/MG%20ZS/DSCF0008.jpg

and all the parts are stored in the car, so in a minute or 2 its a 5 seater.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y298/Taphouse/MG%20ZS/DSCF0010.jpg

I know I've added extra weight, but this a daily runner at the end of the day. Just need rear door cards, and a carpet.

Few other picture from Sunday after bleeding the brakes, and a clean.

is the pedal better now?

is the pedal better now?

Yeah, much better. I would expected more though, the missus TF on its AP's seems to brake a lot harder, plus the ABS keeps cutting in, so may set about removing it.

On another note, only because I keep forgetting to text you. Could you send the CAT on to me, we forgot to put it in the car on friday.

Supercharged_Z

ah yeah the cat. balls forgot about that.

im suprised the abs cuts in i never had it do it even on track.

i think the disks need switching the other way round i wonder if that makes any difference.

pm me your details

There the STD cards with the rare early inserts at the top which are colour coded in trophy blue, but could easy be sprayed black or red :)http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y108/Westeh/484840e1.jpg

You have one awesome car now Ross has put the big brake conversion on. Please whatever you do...........don't smash it up lol!

Ah dear...........will have a look about putting a Quaiffe on the SXi. Only looked last week at getting it cammed and throttle bodies on it. Should set me back ?1500 all in.

I spent absolutely thousands on that with all new parts to make it reliable. Doesn't matter what you paid for it...........whomever owns it has got an extremely capable track car for the money.

Congrats dude!

Its a great car, I've always build my car from standard, so i know whats going into them, and i know its done to the highest standard, and I've said before this car is a credit to all that have had a hand in the car, parts, and putting it together.

It's got to be one of the best spec'ed ZS's out there.....

Well the Quaiffe PG1 gearbox cost me ?1500 to be rebuilt with a new 1st and reverse and steel caged bearings put in for reliability. It had a complete new plenum on it too around 2007/2008.

The polybush kit for the entire car was around ?450 and another ?400 odd to get it fitted to the car......Janspeed exhaust headers were ?500 I'd like to think and not more lol, Piper cat back was brand new and another ?400+, then you are talking about all the interior which I refubed but didn't come with the car when you got it.

Won't ever be doing that again in my life lol. Once way back when for a laugh I added up all the reciepts and it came to near ?10,000 including the ?3,295 I paid for buying the car in March 2007.

I will be putting some bits up for sale on ebay hopefully in the next few weeks with low reserves. Just look out for my username if anyone is interested.

Righto............on with the Veccy! :punk:

Think I may need to sell this now, need to the missus a new car, and i just dont use this. So if the there is any interest out there, give me a shout. I dont want to put it in the for sale section, as its not properly for sale, just gauging interest.

I was playing yesterday with the front end, decided to de-orange the headlights, and spray the grills black. Today I'll be fitting my brand new VIS motors, and trying to finish the interior which i'll reveal next week sometime.

Well i cracked on this morning, decided to do some clean jobs, and finished the interior. Since I was planning on doing 1 track a month this summer, and at this point have done none, I figured, I would free up some money out the car,and make it more of a daily.

Starting with selling the bucket seats, which paid for the new interior, some brand new VIS motors, and a standard brake setup, and put a good few quid in my pocket.:cool2:

So before;

It's pretty good came out of a 40,000miler, I had to shave them to take the bobbles off, know they are minty.
