Hi Folks, I`ve just seen an MG6 in the flesh today at Summit Garage in Dudley! :)

Its starting to grow on me a bit now, looks quite classy infact, the model pictured is top of the range 1.8 Petrol Turbo which has 18" alloys, sunroof, climate control, satnav, parking sensors, leather trim etc ?18995 on the road!

Don`t think i`ll be getting one as i`m not that rich!

My Dads been going on about having one for ages so i took him up today to have a look, he really likes it but think he`s gonna wait till the Turbo diesel model comes out later in the year! ;)

I can't understand why SIAC aren't mounting a much stronger advertising campaign either Ritchy.

Nice pics. I've driven several 6s and it's a car I rather like. I'm at Longbridge on Tuesday for a press briefing so I will try and get a bit more info to share with you guys if you'd like me to?

Would that engine cover fit the k-series, seeing as the 1.8 turbo is almost the same engine!

Dont know why they havnt got one in the BTCC, this year.

Always remember the old Volvo estate hammering round, made people sit up and take interest.

I expect the value will plummet when it's a few years old. :D

I have to say i think the MG6 looks way better in the flesh than when i saw some pics of it on the web! :)

The model we saw today was a 1.8 TSE which is top of the range, they also do 1.8S & 1.8SE.

I have the brochure to hand here..... & even the 1.8S which is the base model gets electronic air conditioning as standard, i`m sure we were told the base model comes in at ?15995.

I really don`t think they are any more expensive than the other competition out there at the moment.

In terms of quality i had a good look around this MG6 today including the plastics inside & it really does look solid & well built & the finish on the paintwork is top notch, i really could`nt fault it.

I guess some people will slag it off but i`d say see one in the flesh first & you may just change your mind! ;)

Saw one driving around Manchester city centre last year, they really do look better in the flesh. Not tempted to take one out for a spin?

Couldnt agree with you more...even if you wouldnt buy my fans!!

Sheer madness, I will be slated for this but the day the brand was bought by the Chinese was the day I lost all interest in any new models they might produce. Might as well buy myself a Ford or Volkswagon instead now and at least have reasonably soild residuals and no (less) worries over quality!

but with that in mind about a focus or golf for similar spec or car and such how would they compare on price and the mg if they do break all problems will probible be fixible with a socket set and able to do on a driveway

and with the competetor in mind they will probeble brake as well cause if you dont look after them they will fail and mg's will asways have a place in my heart new or old

spech over ...lol

p.s this is not a rant at anyone

My thoughts too, it really does look fantastic! :)

Think my Dads gonna go for one but is going to wait until the diesel version is launched! ;)

Myself i`d be happy with the entry level 1.8S as the standard spec on that looks really good, think i need to find myself a rich tart so she can treat me to one! :D

Seen one at the mph show at the nec in november . No thanks i think it looks pants and with a 1.8 turbo 160bhp powerplant if i,m not mistaken ? cant see it being very quick either its quite a big car so probly weighs in quite heavy . What i mean by quick i mean against the quick fords and vauxhalls of this world i mean MG is meant to be a performance car this aint gona be very hot

Does anyone have the weight of the car, the ZS/ZR were quite light which meant that they didnt need a lot of power but the 6 looks like it would be 1300-1400kgs?
