selling a plate on retention

hi guys not a mgzs related question but just wondered if any body has an experence with private plates , i have a plate which i have on retention and im selling , can anyone tell me how i proceed i have the retention in my name , do i have to change the owner over to the buyer so to speak or do i just give them the certificate , i will call into my dvla office at the end of week but just thought i would ask on here first ,

hi mate i used to have one on my zr,i just sold them the plates with the certificate also and then they did the rest with the dvla mate,hope this helps.

As Kev Mocko - I sold a plate on ebay and told them they had to pay any costs and sent them the certificate, never heard anything back.

it was a harley plate , for a cvo , sold now once again guys thanks for your input
