Hi guys,

Hope you dont mind me posting a few pics of my car (if you do i wont be offended ;))

Bought it in November last year so i could take the GTa off the road for the winter and i needed a better daily. Went for the diesel mainly for the lower tax and lower insurance, aswell as better economy.

Its an '05 Trophy SE with 78k on the clock, FSH and is in pretty decent condition.

Plans are to enhance the car rather than modify it (so i keep telling myself!) so im just changing a few bits to hopefully improve on the good spec and getting it looking fresh. Ill hopefully be getting some Mk2 ZS wheels for it as even though they are done to death, i dont think there is a better wheel for the Mk2 ZR or ZS, and maybe some X-Power springs.

Have already fitted OEM mats, Silvatec bulbs, Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs, leather gaiters matching the seats and a boost gauge. I have a new passenger door strip to fit and the big task of sound deadening the car and installing the audio.

Its also due some paint correction before Pride of Longbridge in April so i shall be onto that in the next week or two.

Cheers for the kind words guys.

I was originally looking for a mk2 ZS TD with the 180 kit but there werent any around - now there are  but im sticking with this as i love it, when we have kids in the future they can climb!

Also fitted a Mafam and Pierburgh MAF sensor so it performs as close to as it should.

If the MAF is out will make a lot of difference, Dan1971 had his ZSTD and came back as 93bhp, 06 plate should be 113/115.

Had a new sensor fitted and he said its a different car.

My one is a ZS, if the ZR is lighter, it should fly.

Yeah it was noticeably dropping off boost at about 2.5k but now it just keeps going.

Its quick enough, ive been used to all the power being in the top end my 1.6 Metro so its nice to have something you dont need to rev so much, just lacks abit of refinement but i can live with that!

I completed another task on the 'to do' list earlier, one that i think makes a good bit of difference to what it was before.

I replaced the passenger door rubbing strip with a brand new item. As the picture shows, the front section was in a bad way.
