I everyone, i interoduced myself in the new members forum and both me and sid got a really nice responce and a few of you asked to see some pics so here they are.

First i will give you an idea of my plans:
1 MG ZS 1.8 120+ with 31,500 miles ans 1 retired owner from new with fsh and all MOT's and TAX discs!
I have collected and bought a full 180 spec body kit which i am currently negotiating having a set of high quality replicas made as the standard kit is a bit flimsy.
I am looking for a set of 17" mk2 alloys.
I am also thinking about a vvc head, ported polished, new cams, pullies and matching manifold ans 52mm alloy throttle body with a remap to match the above.

What do people think?

anyway here are some pics:

I havent decided yet, he has the lip spoiler but im not sure about the extreme one or not yet, im not in too much or a rush as there are plenty about, im focusing at the moment at getting the replicas of the original kit made first.

yeh its nice, firm, straight and needing a front left wheel bearing! hes got a few scratched here and there but nothing i cant take care of, only other thing is the headlights have that discoloration and marking that i need to deal with. wait till i get my orbital polisher/sander for my birhtday!

Sounds like you know how to cure the problem, its like a lacquer thats over the glass.

Have to let us know how you get on, getting the right polishing/cutting compounds the difficult bit.

i was going to keep it to myself until i did it incase it wasnt quite right, dont want blaming if someone else tries it first on my advice.
it will be done by the end of the month, its caused by cheap plastics hich easily mark and get pitted, once there sorted all you have to do is use a hard clear polish or you can apparently laquer them!!!

A replica kit? If you get a few of them made up I reckon you could be on to a bit of an earner, assuming that it doesnt cost mega bucks.

Went to Pride of Longbridge last year and one of the guys there had the same problem. I asked Steve Cleenz who was there, to have a look at them, and he said its a m/c polish job.

Said it would take some time to clean it all off and polish back up. The guys headlights looked a dirty yellowish colour.

yeh it crossed my mind, i have been thinking about having kits and pars made for the mg z range as you cant get alot of the body parts these days, especially the plastics and the cheap fibreglass stuff is, well very poor, i bought some front spats from the bloke advertising them on ebay as made from the original moulds! i wont be buying anything else put it that way. when i know more i will post up. the guys are doing some measurements and costing for me, im looking for a new business so u never know.
o 1 other thing, who would want a magazine that is purly for the modern MGs, MGf onwards?
