Afternoon all. Had a busy few days with the Zed this week.
Had a full stainless steel exhaust system with decat done at Long Life in Basingstoke on Tuesday which I'm very happy with. Lovely noise, nice and loud. Quite amusing driving through town popping and farting.

Stickers came through today so I've also put those on, think they look pretty cool.

Also I've decided to strip my car out and head down the track slag route (when I've got some more money) Oh, and some old school JBL dice, pimpin'.

Was it the car or you "popping and farting" ????

Haha, cheers man. The dice were terrible, I was thinking of getting them put in professionally but I gave it a go myself, wasn't easy.
And yeah, I do get a few pops when I lift off in first. Happy days.

Its easier if you take the front bumper off first ;)

Yeah a few things. Brakes might be next as they were advised on it's MOT, probably get some Yellow Stuff pads and some nice new discs.
Coilovers are my main goal at the minute and get it nice and low, it's riding a bit high after I've taken the seats out.

there's a set on ebay for 250 irrc... I'm trying to sort out some new calipers at the min because mine are pissing about sooo much there's a brembodge kit on rt but I cant do that and the manis

white.pony91
24-03-11, 07:03 PM
I saw those on ebay earlier in the week, but I believe they were for the V6, not the 120. I've heard that Civic Coupe coilovers will fit a ZS, a gentleman on the forum had some on his MK1 but I wouldn't want to buy any without being absolutely sure that they'd work on my car.

lawrence-zs180
24-03-11, 07:07 PM
ahhh though it was a 180.. sorry lol.
that was rakester I think.. would work ok on the normal k4 120 but not on the t16 he was looking at using irrc

Like the stickers, do the dice work like the G force indicators in the F1 cars????

white.pony91
24-03-11, 07:13 PM
Lol yeah they do. Somehow I don't think they're quite advanced as those, but they work just as well :)

Lol I wish it was a 180! Maybe when I'm a bit older.
Might have to look into these Civic coilies then, save myself some dollar.

There's a set of Gaz coilies on ebay at the moment for ?400. Seems like a reasonable price considering they've only done 1000 miles.

I've managed to source some xpower Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks, which I think will be better for road use.

Mr ZS180
24-03-11, 09:25 PM
I keep looking on fleabay for performance springs and shocks but none ever seem to be there when I look :(

I want to lower but definitely am NOT going with the Motobodge option and cant afford coilies atm!!

petet16
24-03-11, 09:31 PM
I know what you mean re springs, it's taken me ages to find the xpower ones.

and +1 for motobodge springs, tried them last year, most unimpressed, turned a sweet handling car into a bouncy skateboard, looked tough tho lol

if only i wasn't so attached to my OE wheels (and a dislike of spacers) i would have another expense for my car - that brembodge setup makes me drool... although i could get it if i got me some nice new wheels!

am thinking whether mine needs new suspension, it does seem a lot crashier recently.. but i dont want the hassle of going coilover....

I do love the look of straights on a MK1.
I really wanted some for mine, but I wasn't sure if they would suit a MK2.

lawrence-zs180
25-03-11, 05:46 PM
I think they look a touch dated on the mk2

The Brembodge will go under Kei force 10s without spacers, and superlegs:)
