Well I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Prodrive track in Warwickshire yesterday for the MG6 test drive. I say test drive, more like a track day!
Great handling, plenty of toys, well built and stood up to 5 days of punishment very well. Loved trying out the wet handling course and Subaru rally test track!

One interesting point, I read Matt Neal was there!
This car needs to be in the BTCC!

It just doesn't do anything for me (even the "trophy blue" one), not sure I'd even cross the street to look at one.
Think they have totally missed the target somewhere never mind not got bullseye :slap:
Bet a team descended on them every night changing anything that may have been less than perfect - have you seen When Rover Met BMW on the 200 launch?

If this was yesterday then Matt Neal was at Oulton with Sheddon

IIRC Matt Neal was there on Wednesday... as a potential customer, not a BTCC driver...

I see you snapped a shot of "Buster" did you say hello to Adrian and Rob as well (Driver and passenger for the day)

Everything I hear about this car is good, but you have to bear in mind most of the people that went on this day won't buy the car, they were just tyre kickers and enthusiasts wanting an early test of the car (free trackday!)

I reckon the front looks like that MG ZR that had been modded up, rear wasn't too bad, but ugly front.

Wish the MG6 all the best, doesn't look bad and goes well on all accounts.

Pity they don't give one to the MGZS.co.uk forum, for a demo for a month or two. Sure we would give it a true write up.

I did go there as a potential customer!
The 6 is a very good drive, but the only way people will realise this is if they test one.
Much rather have one over the boring Focus/Golf/Astra line up. And its alot better in the flesh.

Apparently one of the instructors was an ex touring car driver, anyone know who it was?

The Ex-Stig?

"And its alot better in the flesh" maybe thats the problem, how do you get people to want a car they don't like the look of in the press, adverts, brochures etc. I just find it 100% unappealing.

I agree mate. I suppose you could say the same about the ZS when that was launched. I loved it, but not many did. Its not until all these years later that people have started to discover what a gem it really is.
Im hoping Mr Scott will do a decent job with the adverts ;)

Think they need a pic with someone with a gun to a puppys head with the tag line "Buy it or else...."
