Looks nice but the Astra 2.2 would blow the ZS 1.6 into the weeds ! ;)

Would you be happy with that amount of power?

It does look nice that I will admit. But don't rush in if you have doubts, the right one will let you know soon enough!

Then sit it out and go for a 120 or better still go a bit older and get a 180 ! As another forum member once stated - Why modify a car to something that already exists ?!

Ah I see John, okay, take the sensible route then, at least it will get you on the ZS ownership ladder. PM Sammy (SDUK) as he has a 110, he can fill you in on them and get an honest opinion. :police:

Then don't rush and wait until you come across the right one.

There are plenty of ZS' kicking about it's just that you may have to travel to get the right one.

If I had waited I could be in possession of a typhoon ZS 180 instead........but..........I am happy with the car I have it's just the ****** driving it that is doing a lot of damage :stupid:

Hang about a little longer bud as I guarantee the moment you buy a car you are compromising on a car you wanted will show up. Keep scanning the forums and the internet and you may get lucky.

Best going for a ZS120 as you will no doubt notice the performance defecit coming from a ZR120 as not only does the 110 have less power but it also weighs a lot more ! Go for a 1.8 120 and then get a good stainless exhaust system, a good induction set up and a Superchip. That should add a few more BHP and make what you already have a lot more useable.

strange how that ZS has the 180 bodykit but not the newer 11 spoke alloys.

Like everyone else has been saying wait and the right car will come. I went down to Middlesbrough to get my car from Fife.

I saw a couple up here but they didnt really have the spec i wanted and was getting tempted by them but then the one came up down south and im glad i got that

Mine found me! I was looking for another reliable car as my then V6 Calibra was in need of more money to be spent and I needed 5 seats as I was ferrying my girls and her friends more often.

Went to look at a couple of cars near me and they had this really nice ZS there.......................needless to say it soon became mine and still is and that was nearly three years ago!

replied to your pm john. If you are used to the 120 ZR then as said, the 110 ZS might be a bit of a reduction in speed/power. However it is a totally different car and alot more refined and better built than the ZR.

certainly my 110 is a step up from my old 105 ZR. Depends how much more power you want? if you want a good car and good looks in it aswell then the ZS is for you. 110/120 is not gonna be massively different but a good option if like me you are waiting till you are older for the 180.

we cant all have 180's due to circumstances :)

I know how you feel mate, I've been looking for mine for 12 months, had virtually given up and decided that I was stuck with my wife's 1.1 Pug 206, then by chance I saw mine while going to a friends for a meal! They are out there!

Yep I agree............Ralph can't stop rubbing his hands together........he fixes my car and then I bring it back broken again.....if it's not broken I buy stuff for the car with money I can't afford to spend

No doubt about it..........the ZS180 is awesome in either mk1 or mk2 form..........very cheap to buy I think and very under rated.

Waited 6 months for my 120. Had been looking at 110's and 180's aswell, but the 120 felt almost as good as a 180 after the test drive. Handling was as good down the back lanes and throttle response and acceleration seemed very even. Only difference was the 120 ran out of puff at 12@ and the 180 sounds quite a bit nicer! :wolverine:

I think you will find buying a 180 a slightly easier experience as they are spec'd up to start with. Just finding one that fits your wallet, colour and age/mileage.

Just beware of the cambelts at 6 years or 90k whatever comes first and budget around £500, again this will depend on what budget you have, but if it means a mk1 prepare to haggle if this is close to being required.

Some current owners of 180's, who do not belong to any forums, will be looking to move theirs on pretty quick as their local garage has probably quoted them around £600-700 for this work. Those in the know and that have done them many times can do the same job for around the £500 mark.

Cool, i shouldn't have that problem. I'm looking for a mk2 any way and ive got about 5.5k to spend.

Theres a blue on on auto trader now with full leather but its up at 8.5k with 34k miles on - anyone think thats too much????:dots:

theres a black mk2 on autotrader for 5.7k at the min but its got the rear body kit bits missin.... not a good look....and its 200+miles away from me

others just seem too expensive. parkers only has them up at £5700 give or take a few hundred...
