I wanted to paint the cam belt cover but didn't want the hassle of removing it, perhaps I should now...

its not hard it was only 2 10m bolts but has made a hell of a difference

Did you mask the v6 sticker or peel it off and reapply?

what paint did you use ??

yeah only done the top of the cam cover as u cant c the rest so pointless painting it

its quite simple really u need 2 ensure the surface is clean from any dirt give it a light sand 2 get it smooth
give it a coat of plastic primer this ensures the paint sticks and wont peal off under heat
leave that 2 dry then used a double coat spray paint the colour u wanna use i used 3 tins and that done what u can c as well as fuse box cover ashtry in the dash and the surround on my stereo

well worth it transforms the whole look.
yeah just covered it in masking tape and peeled of once completly dry

mmmm think a darkish green and the stripes on the cover in red seems like a good idea me thinks... never done this so where is best to get the paint from?

u can get all u need from halfords as i said not exspensive cost me at the most ?20 for everything oh and borrowing my other half hair dryer :-)

what she doesnt know wont hurt her :-) lucky i had the last 2 days off getting it done before she got home was the hardest task

If you dont need a perfect colour match then go to bnq or homebase or something as you will pay twice as much from Halfrauds!
