I,m getting 100 miles to ?20 ...... which I think is acceptable bareing in mind the cost per litre....... a mate gets 36 miles out of ?10..in his BMW 325i....

I do mixed driving.... pootling around London....involving plenty of full throttle bursts ( in 1st) and some dual carriageway runs at a (reasonable ) speed officer
Does that compare with everyone elses consumption ? :judge:

Tenner usually gets me 35 miles. Used to judge it at a fiver per every thirty miles, but the costs have risen so much :(

we get that, used to get 130 before the price increase, found that total petrol gives us teh best economy, but sometimes the car has its off days and gets about 60-80 on ?20

i used to just fill it right up when on red line and used to get 210-230 miles around town (school and shopping and popping to see family) 320miles on a run but that was to depressing coming from a diesel that done 400-500miles for the same amount :) so just put in ?30 whenever it needs it taking it to around half a tank and not resetting the mile counter, bliss :)

I just stick ?20 in these days......When I would have stuck a tenner in not that long ago.......This country needs a revolution, the fat cats just keep getting fatter :spank:

When I worked for Fords at Dunton research centre I installed a fuel computer to a 3 litre Capri , on test I could get the MPG down to 3 on acceleration in the lower gears ..... needless to say..... fuel computers were never fitted to these in production LOL

Get yourself a spare diesel and keep it just standard and running to get you to work... With today's fuel prices even a 1.3 liter petrol fiesta can hurt your budget. In my country at least lpg used to be cheap before ''democracy'' doubled the taxes...

sorry to put downer on all the people complaining bout fuel costs, yer you are all rite it is a bloody rip of but got m8 who works for a scrap company who emptys all the tanksfrom cars and feel massive tank up with fuel, one being deisel, one being dirty unleaded and the other filtered clean,i get ?60 of fuel for ?20 and maintaining his pc,so not all bad, guess i'm one of the lucky ones i guess...sorry,his boss says its cheaper to give it away to family and freinds than get a contactor in to remove it who no doubt would make a mint from it.before i forget i have a 180,the only down side is i can thrash it more often(witch try not to make a habit of)as get a fill up every few weeks.
