Well finally the bolts came and all is good with the world!!
So here are the long awaited photos.
Also got MGB centre discs off the 'bay and stuck them over the Inovit ones for the more authentic look!
Opinions please!!

Now I know I must get mine powder coated! Well, my ZS is going to be SORN'd this week, so I can remove my rims and get them done. Also the cat, so I can get a bypass made.

They look mint mate.Inovit Tarmac? If so how much do they weigh? Also what off set are they?
I've been looking at them in gunmetal for mine

the nuts eventually came from the dealer who sold me the wheels and are not 'locking' nuts but do require an adapter to remove them.
they are inovit tarmac 4x100 pcd, weigh about 22kg if I remember correctly
get them man, absolute bargain and look amazing!

Maxxed_Ross
30-10-07, 03:22 PM
yeah the gunmetal and yellow would look great!

Don't suppose you could source me a set of those nuts mate? The ones I've got need an adapter too but look like you could rip them off with a set of Mole Grips, yours look a far better idea

lol, did you not see the hassle I had getting them!! the company apparently sent out 3 sets to me, only one arrived....if another does you'll have first dibs!

Very nice mate, needs slamming now though! It's a nice contrast with the blue, I agree that you should get some xpower graphics to go on there now.

Cheers mate.Think they are next on the list.
ET is 45 (mailed them today)& they are aprox 10 kilo's(in 17")
" The tarmac in a 17” is approx 10kg’s, the offsets are set to an et45"

is the 10kilo's with tyres? mine are 18's with tyres....
not lowering though....am having issues when going over speed bumps or potholes where the front two wheels hit the inside plastic in the arches...remedy?

shroonie29

10 kilo bare.Have found out that that is the same as OE

Smokey

have to say, they are pretty simila to the OE wheels which is why I chose them. Think its a good choice bud!

...am having issues when going over speed bumps or potholes where the front two wheels hit the inside plastic in the arches...remedy?

what part of the arch is it hitting? I found I had to space my front wheels out 5mm with the 18"s fitted as it rubbed on the inner arch and shock cup

Smokey
31-10-07, 03:14 PM
no idea, not investigated it yet... I take it the plastic disks I got with the wheels are the spacers?

Maxxed_Ross
31-10-07, 03:23 PM
no they are for centering them properly

Mine are rubbing on the inner part of the front wing - it's not lowered and it's OE 11-spoke alloys as well.

that's weird. What size of tyres are fitted to it?

KevG
31-10-07, 06:33 PM
The OE size for the Mk2 is 205/45x17, due to the wider track on the Mk2 (7.5J) the tyre can rub on both sides due to the clips that hold the arch liner. If you move the arch liner over the metal tabs and secure, then you shouldn't have any more problems of the front tyres rubbing the arch liner, either on full lock or on really bumpy road surfaces.
