So it's a warning that it's cold... doesn't make a lot of sense, it wasn't cold today..............

I was only thinking when I drove a posh land rover that had 3 settings, mud, snow/ice or ordinary driving, for the auto box, think that had a little snowflake light.

Kind of thing they put up as a warning, nothing to do with air con???

According to the handbook this light is for 2.0 petrol models only.

Sounds like you may have a dodgy wire somewhere?

Odd, I don't recall ever seeing one on mine. I'll need to check the handbook out later.

Never had one on my 120 either. The middle red flashing LED for the immobiliser... ABS is to the left of that, the snowflake's to the right. It went off today.

Pff.....

Am sure it is normally for stepspeed fitted cars no? Think there was a discussion about this recently:)

It came back on earlier, I quite like it to be honest, it's pretty! A total mystery but if it causes no problems then why the hell not!

Someones not added a later header tank with level sensor and used that position for the light have they?

I doubt the wiring would be there on an early model, although project drive deleted many things earlier cars didn't have all the wiring for factory fit options such as rear elecy windows.

I was thinking they may have just stuck a bulb holder on the back of the instruments rather than using the actual wiring already there. I considered doing that but have plumped for fitting light and test switch into blank on dash.

Mine's got rear electric windows, maybe the previous owner's been goofing around with it? Since stripping the car I've noticed the effect of project drive, there's like half a car extra here!

The windows may have been factory fitted.
