OK so Reason it looks so cheap is that it's been a previous cat d insurance job, but we all know just how little it takes for these cars to have been wrote off.
Maybe worth a punt mate.

The black one has no belts changed and has plenum rattle. There just seemed too much engine trouble to be worth it.

The silver one in sold, was sold yesterday. (I suspected write off due to repainted rear bumper)

Good hunting though!!

Distance really doesn't bother me, I have been to Peterborough for my first mk2 180 and Leighton Buzzard for my mk1 180!

If it meets the other criteria then I still may consider it but would need all the facts and pics etc.

I potentially would be looking for a mk2 ZR or a mk2 110/120 too. Reason being, Kat's Micra has a fecked engine after only 31000 miles and Arnold Clark are sh*te but we have managed to sell it for ?2k and need a replacement car quick sharp.

Dan, would love your car but don't think ?2k would be enough! And I cant strech a penny further. Plus we need a car in the next 2 weeks :(

Don't know about that yet...still think I need to try driving his first before I go for one as I've never driven more than a 1.6 Astra (and that was only for a week). My car goes away midweek this week coming and ideally have something sorted by the weekend as I have to get the 32 mile round trip for work, however if I need to hire a car for that weekend then so be it

Kat you would be fine with a 1.6 ZS.
My Tracey usually drives her 1ltr Aygo most of the time but she feels more confident in the ZS as other drivers don't tend to bully her in it.
You might be better without the big spoiler though as it does obstruct the rear view,
And maybe go for parking sensors.
(Small spoiler & parking sensors for a girls ZS)
P.M KevG & see if he will sell.

This is very interesting, the black one was one of a couple of cars on my list as i'm looking for a Mk2 180. Have you seen it then? Any info would save me a long journey up to Durham if it's a dud!? The plenum sound bad mate? Any other engine comments or general condition comments to be made?

Cheers
Dale

It means you're getting old and losing flexibility my friend, meaning you don't actually have to look where your rear end is !

I know mate - I've got them too. Don't like getting the "flatline" though when you're getting close. Kinda spooky .....
