Oil Catch Tank

I'm after a oil catch tank. Can anyone suggest a good one or will a ?20 jobby from the bay be ok.

This may be a dumb question.......................................... ...........but

what excatly does an "oil catch tank" do ?

am i being thicker than a whale omelette ?

i've seen members spaek of these was never quite sure what they do :nugget:

Part of the "modern" way of controling vehicle emmisions is to vent the fumes from the crank case back into the inlet and thus into the engine to be burnt.

These fumes have a fine mist of engine oil which collects in the inlet manifold, drips into the airfilter and gums up the VIS motors and flaps.

The catch tank incercepts the oil mist reducing the amount of rubbish going into the inlet etc.

im me and hes andy lol, i bought his car off him, so he was the one that had the oil catch tank in it, lol but since i bought the car its been written off due to an old lady in a car park, lol
