Hello everyone,
I want to get the conversion done but my only problem is the filler cap. The Autogas centre will install the filler cap near the existing one.

Does anyone know if there is a ready made kit to flip down your number plate to reveal the LPG filler cap????
Or do I make one up?

And a big thanks to 'steves cleenz' for sorting out the engine misfire(P0355) and finding the other faults.

Cheers

Have a word with C13URD on here. He made his own flip up numberplate with hinges on.

Thanks Steve It drove perfectly home and still does, I haven't had a chance of replacing it.
That guy I was telling you about with the ZT engine was different ie leads, so I need to go to a breaker yard.

Are you looking to have a duplex exhaust fitted at all???

me personally prefer my filler cap where the 2nd exhasut would go as modifing the already rare as rocking horse **** rear bumper scares me a little

I have C1BURDS old car and this has had an LPG conversion too

As said if your not having a duplex exhaust fitted then just have the filling point put on the opposite side underneath the rear bumper, perhaps Tim will post a pic of the filling point on my old car.. to show where it is

Otherwise i can hinge the no: plate for you if thats what you really want like mine :smile1::smile1::smile1:

I have recently had a dual exit fitted photos below. And yes exahstBobdope2002 the bumper is really flimsy!!
C13URD, did you use normal door hinges and does the number plate rattle swing about when driving?
Cheers

The hinges are plastic with metal pins so i was able to bond them to the no plate..

The no plate does not flap about if you look closely there are two small bits of velcro on each bottom corner which holds it still when closed...:smile1:

My parents 1967 (I remember when they bought it  ) Ford Corsair 2.0 V4 had a flip down number plate hiding the filler cap.

I'm considering LPG but there is no where as convinent for the filler cap on the mk1.

If you need the cam belt done soon, get it done before fitting the LPG. All the LPG installations on KV6 engines that I have seen would require disconnection prior to cam belt change.
