machine polishing works a treat on them, i do it on all the cars i detail, Tcut is bad stuff on plastic !

may well be dust on the inside, thats what I found with mine but its a pain to pull them to bits and clean them out. Its a good opportunity to de-orange the indicators if you go down that route though.

Greygates plastic polish works really well on the mk2 headlights, I wouldn't ever use Tcut on clear plastic.

I've got the same problem, only on one light tho. I thought of chucking it in the oven.

Apparently it softens the sealant so the lens peels away easily...

just heat up around the edge using a hair dryer if you want to take them apart, the problem with the MK2's is that they are a clear lens and they are coated with a clear coat, which over time gets stone chipped just like the rest of the car and cause its plastic it is damaged much more, i have found using a polish with a slight cutting compound in it works, super resin polish, megs scratch x, megs plastic x are also good ones to use, but the best way is to machine polish them, as this will generate heat and soften the lens and cuts back the clear coat

here is a pic of a head lamp i have machine polished:

Done the headlights on mine 2 weeks ago, but I used some Farecla G10 (http://www.farecla.com/?screenID=125#/125)
