hi guys im having a bit of a dilema at the moment as i cant decide wether to keep my mk1 zs 180 or sell up the plus points are its fast, looks good, handles brilliant, very comfy interior, huge boot space,
minus points are general running costs,£300+ pound monthly fuel bills
so if i was to sell up wot do you think would be a realistic asking price for a 2002 52 plate mg zs 180 saloon in british racing green 47000 miles on the clock colour coded half lth monaco seats uprated cd player, electric fnt windows, electric mirrors, aircon, uprated lenso rs5 black alloys 7.5x18",and a janspeed xpower back box

i dunno wot i would go for i love the mg so it would defo be an mg of some description im looking at a 52plate mg zt 160 turbo just now but i dunno if that wud be any easier on fuel wi it being an 1.8 id maby even consider a zs 120 or a turbo diesel it all depends on wot mines would fetch

Bangers do work! I bought one for work as I was clocking up +350 a week and found the cost of fuel hitting my pocket.

Going for a ZT160T will not make any difference to your wallet, false economy ;) If you want to stay within MG go for a diesel, I very nearly bought a ZT135 with all the toys, only to be put off by the mileage on it, was a bit too high, and I also loved the 180 more.

Pricewise for yours? They do vary, but £3k is about average territory, but then again are your cambelts due? If not done that will have an effect on finding buyers or except a knock down of around £5-600.

I sympathise with your plight, but think hard.

2.5 (180ps) 4d
2002/52
Average mileage: 40,000 miles

Original Price £16,640
Franchised Dealer £3,705
Independent Dealer £3,575
Private Good £3,380

With the 180 it is really worth what someone is willing to pay but the above is a good guide. Your car looks good though.....

If you sell up, Id be happy to take the skirts of you!
