Hi all

Does anyone know what the recommended tyre pressure is for a ZS running 215/40/17 tyres, can't find any information on t'web and the handbook gives pressures for 45 profile tyres.

Thanks

Have you got unusual tyres or wheels on?
I thought standard sizes were 205/50/16 or 205/45/17

They were fitted before I bought the car. It is possible that they are 205/40's, the car is a 10 minute walk away so can't double check just now.

What about the wheels themselves - are they standard?

i think 215 40's maintain about the same rolling radius iirc.. and are cheaper than 205/45's

however the book wont list anything as they are not standard fitment...

i would go wit hthe manufacturer recommendations of tre pressure.... or bung in around 30 PSI if that is within the range :)

EDIT - i thiunk on OE 17's you would be on 205 40's.. dont think 215 quite fit... as are too wide...

Cheers guys, will just go with the handbook rec's and then adjust by feel. The fronts are getting close to being replaced so may take the opportunity to switch back to 45 profiles all round, are there any recommended tyres (my local indy tyre centre has an offer on Hankook Ventus V12s at the moment)?
