bought the yellow 180 off goldie, saved it...for now, looks alright enough needs some brake pads, and theres a few codes stored in it and a random misfire that came up after an hour of running, but see if i can get to the bottom of it, do a bit of tidying up ect and go from there, got a few rubbish photos below
got reciepts for a new clutch last year too, says clutch servo too but looks like a new slave to me, il get a better look when its dry and light

Nice one, almost as good looking as mine :)

What codes did it come up with?

Ritchy
26-11-11, 03:47 PM
few relating to the upstream exhaust sensors and then after it got hot was saying lean bank one, and it wasnt a gradual fault just suddenly started doing it, but it seemed to be overfuelling so think it thinks its running lean then adding more fuel, started it up there and its running fine again, actually looks like its been well looked after tbh, although its got a new front bumper on it, but the slam panel is original and looks straight enough to me,
already fixed the heater controls in the car, so one fault fixed haha, interiors not bad either, small rip on the bolster and thats it
some after market alarm fitted to it too, might remove it though dependant how it looks to be installed

My first port of call would be the O2 sensor on that bank, sounds like it is breaking down.

Someone else on here is having misfire probs, on a 180, think they are after thottle position sensor and idle control valve, off a breaker.

Be interesting to see if you can solve this one, might help them.

Thought your silver one looked doggies bolxx, trouble is if it were mine I wouldnt want to use it. Wife always moans when we have a hike from the furthest part of the supermarket car park. Lucky we have her Punto and that usually ends up doing the shopping run, but I get caught out sometimes in the ZS.

Usually come back and have a 4 x 4 or People Carrier full of kids parked 6" away from the ZS, think they do it on purpose!!!!!!

tiny update, been too cold and dark to do too much, gave it half a wash the other week(literally a wipe ove)r, body work isnt too bad bar the front bumper, which i may replace, and the car seems to be the same colour all over which is fairly rare for a trophy yellow car, its a weird colour, looks completely different wet to dry, then as you can see in the last pic, a shodow makes it a completely different shade, the rear bumpers the same colour but in that pic one sides orange an ones yellow

so small update today, made a new set of plates for it at work to get rid of the "keep up if you can" MG ones which i detested, amazing how much a difference a set of plates can make to a car i think, anyway couple of pics of the new plates, nothing too exiting

Going it a bit far to spray the kayak, yellow as well Ritchy.

My front and rear bumpers are more lemon than yellow, tried to cover some stone chips with the correct colour for TY, paint touch up kit. So far off, looked better as a chip!!!!

well not much has been happening with this for a while, i moved the car up the back of the garden before we had all the wind and it had been sitting for a month or so, so i had a peak the other day, and to my disapointment...mould...seems the aerial base is leaking,
anyway after a bit of jumpstarting it fired straight up yesterday and i managed to get it out the garden,

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae176/ritchyp/2012-02-11144132.jpg

and set about stripping out the interior, only done the back seats, the floor mats and the boot carpet so far, but i took them into work and gave the seats a proper vax out in the valet bay, then i steam cleaned the mats and boot carpet and vaxed the, too, seats have come up great, nice and clean look new

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae176/ritchyp/2012-02-12135045.jpg

so just going to leave them out just now, strip the front seats and floor carpet out do the same, amazing how much dirt comes out of seemingly clean interiors, so this will be a treat for whoever the new owner is

i charged the battery up last night on trickle charge, and today i refitted the new front bumper, and removed the latches, cleaned and greased them so they work properly now,
starteing to look a bit more together

When I worked at the local garage I used to borrow the carpet cleaner and do the house every 6 months or so.

I once even took the living room rug in and jet washed it, come up a treat.
(this was after the ex decided it would be a good idea to take a nap and leave the 2 under 5s to "make a cake" using all the cleaning fluids from under the sink - and people wonder why she is an ex!)
