Erratic idling

When my cars on idle, it keeps revving upto 1000 revs then back down again.
Can this be linked to the coolant loss or maybe a sensor issue?

Could be the Idle air control valve on the throttle body? You could try taking it off and cleaning it with some carb cleaner and making sure it's free.

If it`s a 4 cylinder, check your inlet gasket.

when my V6 did that it was because the rubber seal on the VIS valve had split and was letting air in

I also had this problem on my 180 and the idle control valve was the culprut! was fine after a clean

this sounds like your best bet as your losing coolant aswell

Reckon so Alan. George also mentioned there's a good chance it's the inlet gasket.
