After some advice I have an 86 5.7 v8 Chevrolet camaro which I'm not intending on using till after winter time I have a big garage at my house. So was thinking about sticking it in there but what kind of things should I do to it inorder to keep it in tip tip condition in storage. should save me some money two as it makes my 180 look economical

jack it up and put it on axle stands ...... so the theres no weight on the tyres .... remove the spark plugs and squirt some engine oil into the cylinders ( just a few squirts from an oil can in each cylinder ) ..... then turn the engine over 2 revolutions by hand , not useing the starter then disconnect the battery....Oh and make sure before you do any of this that it has the correct amount and type of anti freeze in it.
Once a month trickle charge the battery overnight

Make sure you have the radio code.

I would also invest in one of those damp/moisture trap thingys so you don't suffer from condensation and damp inside. The last time my zed was off the road this time of year my seats, seatbelts and carpets were growing mould!

Handbrake off.

Spray oil or protecetive spray on any exposed steel or aluminium surfaces as they will rust and fur up.

When the time comes to start it again disable the sparks and crank the engine over until the oil light goes out, then enable the sparks and fire it up.

As above but I'd properbly use a trickle charger designed to be left plugged in when the car is not in use.

I leave my 7 on charge over winter. Also I let the air out of the tyre when on stands. I start her every couple of weeks and run her up to temp. The garage is well ventalated so no mould problems with an open top car.

If not sticking it up on stands, put a bit of carpet under the tyre contact patch.

There'll be another one along one day.

I know what you mean about being run over, I've been meaning to have my kerb dropped ever since I moved here in December,

no, not 3 months ago, December 1988! We paved the front and got permission in 1990 but got no further. We've just had a quote, £700 to do the kerb or £1800 including blocking the drive (only 15ft sq). The quote for the kerb only was £500 22 years ago.
