Well watched the weather forcast last night though we will be ok in very rarely freezes down this way (warmer sea air and all that) so dont need to get up early to defrost the car but how wrong i was. Running a little late i got to the car to find it is frozen so hard the handle on the drivers door wont move. So pop boot to find that is frozen 2. Manage to get into boot and with the aid of some lock deicer get into car. Then spend the next 10 mins chipping half inch thick ice off the windows to be able to see to drive.

I hate winter. Mental note must give the webasto agent about fitting my parking heater.

My Xsara must have had a flaw in the screen as I managed to crack it this morning with some warm water :wall: ****** it!

yes its that horrible time of year again, Andy has to do 2 trips up our 3 flights of stairs every morning now to get the warm water, then he has to sit in his car for about 10 minutes warming it up...

im glad i dont drive, id hate to get up at 5am to defrost everything!

I don't worry about the cold with my car it stays in it's nice garage which gets heated by the central heating from the upstairs flat ,magic stuff

Unlucky suckers! I only have to scrape the front screen of my van..........and better still..........being rwd I get to have lots of fun :)

This morning I chucked it into a small roundabout in Canterbury and would you believe it..........the rear got loose :w00t: so a 360 drift around the roundabout and a bunch of students laughing their heads off later and I got to work safely :)

I drive sensibly most of the time.........it's just the van that brings the evil out in me :) I love the cold and the winter :)

A few years ago........there was a really bad snow up near Chrimbo and I had my Escort van :innocent: well.......driving back from Broadstairs flat out in the fast lane on the way home.........that was fun! :) Although I nearly did stuff it in the armco changing lanes.........but I saved it and kept my foot in :)

Another cool route.......used to be the one going to my college in Maidstone.......flat out along country lanes with snow banks either side. Funny thing is........I tend not to drive any slower when its snowing or icy than when it's a sizzling hot day with the tarmac moving around with your fingers.

Got to love driving in any conditions really......at any time......any place.......but most of you probably know that :)

if mine has ice I just move it over the road into the sun and go back to bed again

The joys of never having to commute hehe

I miss my old garage, I could back a car on its trailer in there and shut the door down, now I can't even get my bike in there!

However, all that is changing! My lovely wife has enroled me on a brickies course in January so I can build a bigger garage :w00t:

Love the cold, if the weather keeps up I can bring out my snowboard soon, though the scraping of cars has it's slight annoyances it's still worth it when the crispy and beautiful snow finally arrives :)

I love the cold too :D I can only hope we have freezing weather when you turn up and the heating fails in the house :D I promise to keep you warm :) plus of course......we have the 'instant heater' in the Landy V8 when we go out and about......no need to take the ZS all the time :clap2:

Snow.... :yikes:

Don't need that for powerslides though... ;) I managed it numerous times on Sat. Roundabouts, Motorway sliproads, corners.... The roads were really, really slippy.

Was plenty of it around march time this year. I remember having to drive up to the ops room in it. We all had to meet at the bottom of the road and follow the council gritter up.
