Does anyone no anything about Porsche 944 2.5 v6's my friends father has passed away sadly but he had a 944 as a play thing I'd always Said id love a go in it. His wife said to me it's mine for £700 if I want it as long as I look after it is this a good offer its done. 98k miles fsh it's a 1986 model In red

Only know that I've always wanted one and would snap it up at that price as a project!

its a straight 6 not a V6...... and its cheap as chips at that price (Y)

well just had a look at it looks in decent nick just gota figure out were id keep it as ive already got the 180,v8 86 camaro and the gf's car gona ask my nan if i can keep it in her garage

50/50 weight distribution, galvanised body, good engine and gearbox, good owners club and racing series, classic looks too :punk:

you won't go far wrong with one of those. Turbo cars are good too.

Sorry you got your hands on it via unfortunant circumstances.

i am pretty sure some-one on .org (wayner007 i think his tag is) has one and runs it...

look nice and its a porsche but not quick and dont really handle that well, parts could be expensive too.

They're 4 cylinder I think, it was one of the biggest displacement 4 cylinder engines produced, and used balancer shafts to smooth it out.

Later ones went out to 3.0 litre apparently

Yes they were 4 cyl..... for some reason I thought they were a "6"

They are awsome to drive the girlfriends dad has one that i rebuilt with him just don't mess with it in the wet coz it'll bite your bum if you try to boot it from lights had his side ways from messing with it.

Was very short lived ownership car was stolen of my friends driveway last Thursday as he was lazy and didn't fancy putting it in the garage and was found Friday morning in a ditch upside down complete wright off apparently my friend inquired into buying it back from the insurance but it's to heavily damaged sad day

Sorry to hear that... i would be absolutely livid, and be geting it's value from said friend if it were me....

i know he did not steal it but he chose not to put it away properly :(

It was him I was sharing the car with as it was his dads. He's already given me my half of the money back. It's a shame really only got to drive it twice was an awsum car
