Shame, 1275 or bigger and it would move. I miss my Mini's.

Ive had three minis now only one ive had on the road, and that was a 1100 that was fun i managed to excellerate past my friends rover 214 1.6, my brother had a 1300 that was some serious fun, sounds like such a small engine but in a mini its really not.

From memory I have had six Mini's maybe more. Only two were road cars the other track cars. Some pics in my album.

Best of the bunch was the 1340 with rose jointed coilover beam axle, 1340 Longman engine, rallycross spec cam, downdraft 48 Weber, Jack Knight straight cut gearbox and a Quaife LSD. Flip front made from fibreglass and kevlar reinforced corners.

One of my road cars was running a tuned 998, straight through exhaust, bucket seats, Cooper reverse rims, alloy arches, Cobra buckets, was a cracker that.

I was really wanting to start racing the mini in the miglia series, but when i looked into it and saw how much it was going to be my mind quickly changed, the thing with minis is though that most things are quite cheap, like the coilovers i have were only 200 and thats nothing compared to the price of new suspension for a zr/zs. I really do think the people in the mg scene are much nicer than in the mini scene as i have had a lot more replies on this forum then i ever did on the mini forum. looking forward to getting more and more into it as well.

Good to hear that Matt. The ZS is a much underated car, only those that have them know what they have got, so that's everyone elses loss and our gain! :D

I have had many cars over the last 30 years, some I have lived to regret selling hence why I have kept this one for 7 years! A record for me!

Im looking forward to a long ownership of mg's, will be a while till i can afford the insurance on a 180 though but that is my goal.

From my time racing Minis I didn't think Se7ens or Miglias ran coilivers.

I still miss the many Minis I've owned and raced and would still have another if a suitable one was found.
