Luke's Project XPOWER ZS 180.

As some maybe aware I bought this from Dan on the weekend and to say im impressed is an understatement. It drove faultlessly from Kent to Yorkshire only stopping for fuel on the way. The car is a great spec and feels like a Rolls Royce compared with my old ZR. My plans:

> Front End Respray
> Xpower goodies - OEM
> Fit TF Wheel
> Powdercoat and refurb the 11 Spokes
> Cambelt Change
> Exhaust change
> Some engine bay bling
> MK1 180 badge - Does anyone have one kicking around?
> Full Detail
> Paint Calipers Black with Xpower decals
> And enjoy it to the max.

Already fitted/Done:
> Induction Kit with CAF in inner wing
> LED sidelights and Interior lights
> Booked into bodyshop
> Booked in for Cambelt change
> Removed some stickers

As said on the other thread its a massive step up from the ZR in terms of build quality IMO, still love taking the 160 out though.


looking forward to seeing this at PoL, are you going with theMGZR.co.uk? think im going to convoy down with some of the .org'ers but Im hoping to park up with the ZS's (hopefully some other monograms.) :D

We had three TY ZS's parked together last year, met up at Hopwood Park Services off M42 and joined the queue to get in.

Trouble is its so big and so many cars its hard to park up together unless you all arrive at the sameish time.

Small Update:

As some have seen Ive had a bit of trouble with my knob (excuse the innuendo) It took me almost 30 minutes to get the sod off and in the end I cut it to pieces. I now have put on my Xpower gearknob along with my harness pads. I have also painted the calipers black with green Xpower decal but it was too dark to get a picture. I also got a new badge through the post courtesy of Dazzer at Locking Vinyl.

Just picked the ZS up from the bodyshop after having the following resprayed:

The chap did a great job and im dead chuffed :D

A mate of mine has exactly the same colour BM as I do and his was very badly keyed at the weekend. 3 body panels. He's been quoted mates rates of £300 ! As the guy will be getting the paint in, I'm probably going to get my front done aswell - and a bit of work at the rear.

The difference in yours is really good. Nice one.

Christ she is looking good, really makes me miss my auld black ane. Some nice touches already, pity the spoiler hasn't turned up to buy that i had, that would sit very nicely and wouldnt even need painted lol.

Bad Luck: Someone hit the car, cracked the rear bumper and then drove off :( gutted isn't the word.

Pisses me off when people do that, the wife's Wedgewood MGF got hit, broke both indicators and cracked the bumper, not nice at all.

Nearly bought one of them heady it's, nobody could tell me how good/bad they were or what the sound quality was like. That's why I bought the alpine instead, which sounds mint by the way lol. Cnt wait to see your beast and mine parked nxt to each other nxt week lol
