In all honesty I doubt if anyone would risk it with the smoking issue especially for that price, criminal I know but that is the way it is with mk1 ZS's at this time. Pains for me to say this but worth that in parts possibly.

To be fair, Deano sold his car to us for £350.00 with the issue it had.

I doubt you will get £925.00 for it unless you broke it for spares, and even then i doubt you would make that with the engine as it is.

The fact the belts have been done wont help one bit if it needs an engine.

Did you get a compression test done ?

Well I would bid £350.00 for it with that issue.

Thats all its worth with an engine issue.

I may have a zr td coming in next week if thats any use to you?

Honestly you will not get 750 for a car that probably needs an engine when fairly straight cars can be had for 1k. And even below.

Personally I think you will be doing well to get 400 and that's only cause somebody has an engine or can break it.

OMG do not get a 307 hdi, i have just come from one, freeking nightmare!!!! two words "Particulate Filter"

Nothing but trouble, limp home mode all the time, i had a 2004 with 70,000 and the missus has a 2001, both had exactly same issues, and we aint the only one's, google them :please: lol!!!!!

Modern day diesels. !

Skoda just the same.. If they thought the zs gave a bit of trouble, this peugeot will put them off cars for life.

One thing about the L series diesel, may be noisy, smokey, but has been around for ever and you can run it on old chip oil!!!!

Very true Pete.

L series is based on old O series engine which i was a big fan of, in fact both the M16 and T16 are based upon the good old O series.

I tuned a petrol turbo o series to 330bhp with emmense torque to match. It was a bit rough on the power delivery though, nothing till 3800 rpm then all hell let loose..lol
