I've found my local F1 Autocentre to be excellent. I just got my other half's Clio MOT'd there yesterday, and I always take my cars there.
They also have a "Price Beat" policy, so if you quote any other place reasonably local then they'll book the work in for you at a lower price.
I've never paid more than £26 for an MOT because another local place do them for that, but they charge for a re-test whereas F1 doesn't! ;)

I just got mine done for £30 from a mate with a garage, I feel ripped off now though he dose normaly charge £75 and at the end of the day he still has to make a living so I guess I can forgive him.

Let me know how it goes.

I was told the seals in my pump had dried out but should be ok if I keep the ac on for a while once done.

I had it done 2 years back and it worked great that day. but then I went on holiday and that was that.

Well today was the day, arrived at my local F1 at 8.45, they started on the car immediately and it took about an hour

Unfortunately even though the system vacuumed down ok it would not take a recharge, suspected blockage somewhere

They advised I would need to have a air con specialist take a look as it was beyond what they could do

Can’t fault F1 at all – I paid online when I booked but they have put through for a refund as they were not able to re-gas.

Offer's still open, so I've just booked it at my local centre.

I took up the offer and had my regas this morning. All went according to plan, the temperature for the aircon before the regas was 11C and now blowing 6.5C. Excellent service from F1. Even before the work the guy explained that if the regas didn't work they will do a leak test etc.

Looks like there's one in Portsmouth- I'll give these guys a whirl when I've got my car back on the road! Reasonable price and seem like a good bunch.

£39 if booked online, was considering doing it myself with EZ Chill which is £45 at Halfords but you get £10 back if you return the bottle but doesn't make sense at that price...

Any AirCon DIY kits are useless, always use a professional qualified AirCon specialist.

Decided then, F1 Autocentre...unless I find someone else cheaper!
