Knocking sound

Ive got this annoying knocking sound that comes from the back of the car when on full lock.
Any ideas? The back end does seem a bit 'tail happy' lately, but I put that down to the winter road conditions.

Is it speed dependant?
Does it matter which lock it is on?
How good are the rear tyres?
How are the rear brakes?
Does it happen in reverse or going fowards or both?

Usually at low speed when pulling away on both locks.
Rear tyres and brakes are as new.
Just forwards.
