I'll still have my twilight ZS to keep me happy which is only really going to be used at weekends etc. Otherwise the astra company car will be used. I wanted to keep this but I have owned it for 5 years or so and i think its time someone else enjoyed it as much as i have :)

thanks for the comments guys.

Hmm, so the car didn't sell on ebay (i have relisted) but a guy offered me £1400 for it. i think its worth more of anyones money than that or am i being too optimistic?

We all know it's worth more - it's just finding a buyer who agrees !

I bought a really nice black pearlescent 04 mk1 3 weeks ago, I only paid £1400 for it. The car had full service history and 1 owner 34k. I was just lucky with the price. I think one of the big troubles with theses cars is that people don't understand them and the fact that every one says you can't get parts. Personally I think these are a very underated car, which is a shame because they are wicked machines. Also there are so many cheap nasty ones on ebay so when a good one shows up people think they are expensive.

I bought mine for £1600 with powerflow cat back, inner wing induction, sheddist, oil catch tank, HIDs, upgraded clutch and alcantara interior with 98k on the clock.

Had to replace gearbox a few months later but that's it.

Just for a comparison.

Car looks good. Take out the negative bits mate and if they are 'easy fixes' then get them fixed. You want the car to look as if it really has had no expense spared on it. If you can't be bothered with the easy bits then people will think what other stuff didn't you bother with. Good luck

£1 and a bit K seems to be the going rate for the 180 these days. Age, cost of fuel and that rediculous road tax seem to have finally cought up with it.

If you're in a hurry to sell it take the offer of £1400, if not as already said fix all the little niggles and it'll be more likely to sell for a bit more

Well the car sold on ebay - the new owner coming to pic it up today.

It's going to be sad to see her go but it has been a great car and we have had some good times. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as i have.

No, sadly they don't, I've had people say "thats a really nice car, but I wouldn't buy one" when I ask why not the answers vary from, you can't get bits to It's an MGRover they're rubbish:axe:

Sadly those answers are generally not true. Its all assumptions.
