been browsing cause I am bored and found afew ZS diesels asking top wack.

The LHD one is still there forsale at over 5k

then this one
http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201211455885655/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/model/zs/make/mg/quicksearch/true/page/1/radius/1501/postcode/po303ap?logcode=p

there are hatches & saloons still over 4k.

nice to see some of them holding onto value, but alas they could be forsale along time.

Personally I,ve never seen the arguement for diesels........fuels more expensive, maintainance can be horrendously expensive for the newer ones with a D.I rail and the 2 I,ve owned in the past I got worse MPG figures when caneing them ( which was always)
Not my cup of tea I,m afraid

I was looking at the Blue one last night as someone on another forum was asking about zs diesel prices, it's a nice car, well looked after and a good spec, but I don't think he'll get anywhere near his asking price.

Maybe you should put it up on ebay for the 5k... then with the profit by two more... sell one for 5k again and keep the other :p nice big profit margin ;)

that blue one on autotrader looks to be a great spec! even at 5k its still probably a lot of car for the money with loads of miles left in it :)

Interestingly, the Blue one has changed owner 3 times in the last year, I wonder why that might be.

It's a pity it's so far away from me, I wouldn't have minded taking a closer look.

Good point, it might well be.

Did Clive put his plate on it?

Here's what it sold for on ebay recently

All our ZS's are getting old, I paid £4150 after a bit of haggling over the conditions of the alloys. That was just under 4 years ago and 30,000 miles.

Had the belts done and the big service and apart from pads, disks all round, tyres, oils etc. all that I consider service parts, thats all its cost. Apart from a few tweaks!!

So even at a £1000 a year depreciation its not bad, but if you can still get £2500 to £3000, the sums come out well.

Plus you get the smile factor, I think all the Zeds are great value.

So it is, I'm thinking the Auto Trader price is a mistake, 3.5k is a good price imo.

I paid about 2.7k for my 2005 td with 47k on the clocks. It had 18" chrome wolfrace wheels but not bodykit, only half leather and no climate control. So it is not quite the spec of that blue one.

I remember trying to haggle with a woman for an 03 yellow ZS td at hte same time but she wouldn't budge from about 2.5k I think it was.

the derv are holding value a lot better than the petrols. I do get quite shocked at the price differnece to the 180's!

mine feels quite unloved atm as it hardly is moving :(

The blue one was mine.

I bought it off a member here - sold it to Clive who then traded it for his Fabia. I know plenty about it and it's history is well documented on here up until Clive traded it in.

I can tell you the figures if you like ....
