I recognise the reg plate. Am sure it will be disclosed very soon!

I still miss my ignition blue 180. Stays cleaner longer than the black one does!

Hi and welcome

Nice upgrade, the prelude is nice but the ZS is better.

The high clutch peddle is normal.

Firstly :hi:. Pedal looks higher than normal, or is it because I have the 'sheddist' kit and now forgotten what the OE sat like?

Nice zed and is that the higher VED bracket, looks like an 06 plate.

I was wondering exactly the same thing, could be the angle of the photo making it look higher too??

Anyways, hopefully nowt wrong with it and welcome to the site. I think i recognise the car too but not sure who's it was?? :)

Hello Kevin,

Looks like you bought JIMZS180's old ZS

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e339/jimzs180/DSCF0804.jpg

The ZS180 never came in a "Plus" model, they were only for the 110 and 120.

Here is another angle on the clutch pedal and a another view off the car.

It was mot,d in march 11 in newcastle , so one owner for five years then sold to a lad in perth soon after.

That's why I recognise it!!! Did you get it from Perth? If you are local, you're local to me too.

And that clutch pedal is normal. My mk2 180 has the sheddist kit so is lower but my mk1 180 had a really high clutch pedal like yours.

You may notice when the car is hot, in hot weather its hard to get in gear. Worse in heavy traffic.

My advice if you are keeping it long term is to start looking for a sheddist kit NOW. The designer and maker Nigel only does them as a hobby so waiting untill it fails is no good. I asked him a few times untill I got one and it took around a year. Mine didnt pack up and I gave it to another member and it still lives on in his but its so much nicer to drive now.

Nice car, I would love an 06 :weirdo:

Cheers for that big wasa

How does one go about contacting nigel for one of these kits and what are the costs involved?

via the xpower forums. Do a search on clutch hydraulics and all will become clear.

The hydraulics are made of plastic. The bracket is stamped thin gauge steel.

The arm gets stiff the bracket flexes and the slave lets go. The system is sealed and not designed to be bled so You end up buying a new master at the same time.

I dont know a current price but mine was a little over 150 posted steel and parts have gone up since I bought mine.

Its not a total beginers job to do but not that hard.

Avery worth while upgrade.

Hi and :hi:

Sheddist clutch kit will sort the height issue.

Hope that helps.

My first 180 was identical to this one. I loved it to pieces (no jokes!)

Wonder why Jim got rid, saw him driving a Beemer the other day.
