Good for you - nice.

Similar story for me too when I went to the Ford garage once for an i-pod lead. The Mrs took a fancy to a new KA and bought it ....

Good for you! We have two MGFs in out household, a much underrated car I'd say. If it wasn't for the love of the ZS I would get a VVC.

On a similar note one day we were out looking for a cheap Saxo for the wife, just learning to drive. Came back with a new Picasso!

Went out for a drink one night and came back with a wife. Then I went out again a year later and ended up with a child...and another one. Now I only drink during the day, when I look after the kids:whistle:

That looks like a very tidy example.
Worth looking out for Dazzer as he can provide you with a nice new fade-resistant domed MG badge insert.

It needs a few little bits doing but head gasket pump and belt all done so not too much to worry about.

Looks good, just ready for the summer.

Saw a R reg one near us on Autotrader, had a hardtop £850, offered the guy £650 as it had a few rust spots all over. He said OK. Took it for a test drive but the clutch was slipping, so decided against it.

Your one sounds sorted. Hope the wife has fun.

Picked up my F for £250.... Then a week later saw a TF in better condition for £200!! Ahhh well I'm happy with my F

Its amazing what you can get when someone has knifed the roof and the inside has flooded... And not too bad to replace interior either :)

Should have told me about the £200 one, that was what I was thinking with the one I saw. Flog the hardtop £450 ish and get the clutch done, but priced it up and they wanted £900 to do the clutch.

£900 for the clutch?? I'd have done it for cost of parts! its not hard on that car... if you can get the car up high enough!

The £200 one was silver with a blue hood... Needed a new hood (or repairs) and new carpet + seats... and IIRC was only a 115... Also, I didn't know at that time you were looking for one :) - will keep my eyes open and let you know if I see another deal like that!
